SUPO)Why this role matters:As a Production Reliability Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of ICEYE’s external manufacturing ecosystem. You will drive supplier quality activities across the full supplier lifecycle, from supplier selection and qualification to ongoing performance management and continuous improvement.Working closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, AIT Engineering, and external manufacturing partners, you will help ensure that critical electronic components and assemblies meet the highest standards for mission-critical space hardware. We have more than 900 employees, united by a shared vision: improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.Your day-to-day responsibilitiesLead supplier preselection activities and supplier audits to assess capability, maturity, and compliance with ICEYE and industry standardsDefine and communicate technical and quality requirements to suppliers, ensuring clear understanding and consistent compliance across the supply chainMonitor supplier performance through quality, delivery, and responsiveness metrics, driving corrective and continuous improvement actions where neededManage supplier change requests, part approvals, process approvals, and configuration control activities together with Engineering and Configuration Management teamsLead supplier part qualification activities to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements before production releaseIdentify and proactively mitigate supplier-related risks to support continuity of supply, product quality, and delivery performanceCollaborate closely with Design and AIT Engineering teams to improve manufacturability and inspectability of electronic assemblies and componentsAct as the primary point of contact for supplier-related quality issues, including non-conformances, deviation requests, and waiver managementWhat we’re looking forMust haves:Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related fieldStrong experience in supplier quality management for high-reliability electronics, including audits, qualification activities, and supplier performance managementDeep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and requirements for high-performance / harsh-environment electronic products, including PCB assembly, cable and harness assembly, and inspection methodologies.Experience managing non-conformances, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions in high-reliability manufacturing environmentsAbility to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials, and detailed technical specificationsStrong understanding of traceability, configuration control, and change management for mission-critical hardwareData-driven mindset with the ability to analyze supplier performance and identify improvement opportunitiesStrong communication and stakeholder management skills across suppliers and cross-functional internal teamsAbility to drive results and influence decisions without direct authorityStructured problem-solving approach with strong analytical thinking skillsHigh level of ownership with a proactive and hands-on working styleAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environmentAbility to travel at least once a month to meet with our suppliersNice to haves:Familiarity with IPC-A-610 Class 3, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, J-STD-001, and ECSS standardsExperience working with ERP systems in production environmentsExperience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing industriesApplication ProcessScreeningInitial InterviewTask & PresentationFinal On-site InterviewWorking at ICEYEAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
