The Supplier Quality Engineer leads supplier preselection and audits, manages technical and quality requirement flow-down, drives supplier change control and supplier part qualification activities to ensure reliable, compliant, and manufacturable products.The position reports to the Mission Assurance & Reliability team and collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, and AIT Engineering. Your day-to-day responsibilitiesLead supplier preselection and follow-up audits to assess capability, maturity, and compliance with ICEYE and industry standards.Define and communicate technical and quality requirements to suppliers, ensuring full understanding and compliance throughout the supply chain.Monitor supplier performance using defined metrics (e.g., delivery quality, NCR rates, on-time delivery, responsiveness) to identify gaps and drive improvement actions.Manage supplier change requests, part and process approvals, and configuration control activities in coordination with the Engineering Teams and Configuration Management Team.Lead supplier part qualification activities ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory requirements prior to production release.Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate supplier-related risks, ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing impact to product quality and delivery.Collaborate early with Design and AIT Engineering teams to gather manufacturability and inspectability feedback from suppliers.Implement and track supplier improvement plans to increase supplier maturity and readiness.Act as the primary point of contact for supplier-related quality issues, including management of non-conformances (NCs) and deviation/waiver requests, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
