We are currently looking for a Process Training engineer to join our Process Development team, based in our gigafactory in Bourbourg. In this role, you will be responsible for processes related to charging, discharging, degassing and measuring batteries.

Missions

• Conduct research and development on cell training and testing processes to improve safety, quality and productivity

• Analyze and evaluate cell electrical performance data from laboratory testing and pre-production operations, in order to identify direct effects and interactions related to training equipment and processes

• Carry out root cause analyzes to systematically identify and correct the sources of defects

• Provide technical support to the cell training and assembly production teams in order to resolve issues related to manufacturing processes

Prerequisites

• Engineering degree in electrical, electrochemical, chemical, materials engineering or equivalent field
• Experience in an industrial environment, ideally in battery manufacturing, particularly on the formation and/or testing processes of lithium-ion cells
• Experience in root cause analysis, defect reduction and failure analysis
• Strong skills in programming, statistical analysis and data processing (Python, Matlab, Minitab, JMP)
• Knowledge of machine learning (PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)
• Experience with critical training process software, including MES and FMS (SCADA)
• Experience in electrochemical and materials analyzes (EIS, HPPC, SEM, EDX and other characterization techniques)
• Professional command of English and French
