We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer supporting the development and validation of USound's MEMS-based audio products. The role combines mechanical design, engineering documentation, prototype assembly, laboratory testing, reliability validation, and failure analysis. As part of a small interdisciplinary R&D team, the candidate should enjoy both structured engineering work and practical problem-solving. Technical Expertise Personal Evolution Autonomy ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain CAD models, technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation Maintain and improve engineering data, revisions, and documentation within the PLM environment Build, test, troubleshoot, and validate prototypes and test setups Plan, execute, and document characterization and reliability tests Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations Contribute to a broad range of engineering activities ranging from mechanical design to laboratory testing and technical investigations Collaborate closely with MEMS, Acoustics, Electronics, Simulation, Quality, and Manufacturing teams Experience and Qualifications BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field HTL graduates with relevant practical experience are also encouraged to apply Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred) Experience creating technical drawings and engineering documentation High attention to detail and a structured working style Hands-on mindset with experience building, testing, and troubleshooting technical systems Experience with PDM/PLM systems is highly desirable Fluent in English; German is a big plus Bonus SkillsExperience with reliability testing, failure analysis, or environmental testing Experience with mechanical assembly, laboratory equipment, and measurement systems Basic understanding of acoustics, electronics, or coding [image] Home Office [image] Development [image] Lunch Dispent [image] Public Transportation What we offerThe opportunity to grow along with an internationally active, innovative company and a ground-breaking technology.Flexible working time and goal-oriented work environment.Collegial environment in a dynamic and dedicated team.Range of the annual gross salary from € 43,000 depending on experience, qualifications, etc.; legal minimum annual gross salary on a full-time basis: € 38 184.Additional incentives including bonuses and profit-sharing opportunities.
