Metrology Coordination Engineer (f/m/d)
About usWe see the semiconductor industry as a realm of possibility. We see opportunity. We see the profound impact that our graphene solutions will have in transforming the industry. We invite you to join us in driving change with our fundamentally human-centered approach, uniting bright minds around a shared vision. The vision is: Prove to everybody that you can make a fundamental change. Prove with your knowledge and skills how things can be done differently. Together, we can change the paradigm of how the world connectsAbout our technologyThe semiconductor industry’s growing demand for more powerful chips with higher bandwidth and lower power finds its solution in our technology. We connect chips to high-throughput, low-delay computing networks. The key lies in harnessing the physical properties of graphene to combine electronic computing with photonic communication, allowing countless chips to interact almost as if they were one. Our graphene photonic innovation increases computing power and efficiency to a new order of magnitude In short, we connect chips to create powerful and energy-efficient networks, overcoming connectivity limitations in the semiconductor industry. We deliver the graphene solutionThe RoleAt Black Semiconductor, we are currently searching for a Metrology Coordination Engineer to act as the central interface between inline metrology requests and external measurement activities. In this role, you will coordinate requests from production, process engineering, and R&D teams, as well as external partners, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of metrology and Design of Experiments (DOE) activities. You will manage wafer flow and availability, align priorities across stakeholders, and ensure timely execution of measurement requests. By acting as a coordination hub, you will enable efficient, data-driven decision-making and help optimize metrology workflows across development and manufacturing activities. To join our team, you should be excited toCoordinate inline and external metrology requests from production, process engineering, and R&D teamsManage wafer flow, availability, and logistics to ensure timely execution of metrology and DOE activitiesAct as the central interface between internal stakeholders and external subcontractors or R&D partnersDefine and align prioritization criteria with stakeholders based on project urgency, yield impact, and business needsEstablish and maintain tracking systems for wafer status, location, and request progressSupport and standardize DOE workflows to ensure consistent execution across teamsCollaborate with engineering teams to support data-driven analysis and decision-makingDrive continuous improvement of metrology coordination, planning, and request management processesYour QualificationsEducational background in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field3+ years of experience in semiconductor metrology, defect inspection, or process engineeringStrong understanding of semiconductor process flows (e.g., polishing, epitaxy, cleaning)Familiarity with metrology and inspection tools used in semiconductor manufacturingKnowledge of DOE workflows, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and yield analysisExperience with data tracking and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, MES systems)Proficiency in JMP or similar statistical software (preferred)Our work culturePeople Over Processes.
